China Live Hog Weekly: Market continues to suffer from weak demand (week ended Apr 8, 2014)
China's hog production continued to rise, while demand showed no sign of picking up, resulting in further price falls. With only 65,000 tonnes for state pork reserves, the initial state procurement failed to stabilise the hog market.
