Prices remained unchanged.
 
Quotes for imported dl-methionine by the largest producer were unchanged at RMB37.70/kg, while average transacted prices (delivered-to-feed-mill) stayed at RMB36.50-37/kg.
 
Meanwhile, prices of locally-produced methionine remained in the range of RMB35-35.50/kg.
 
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market were at RMB26.60-27.50/kg.

Global markets
 
In Europe, quotes for Q2 orders stayed at EUR3.30-3.35/kg, with most buyers reported having stocked sufficient inventories.
 

Market analysis
 
Methionine suppliers maintained price quotes during Qingming Festival holidays while trade was light.
 

Market forecast
 
Local producers have made plans to expand production. In the longer term, methionine market is seen weak with supplies set to increase.
