China egg prices rise by 5 percent on-year

China's average egg prices in February rose by 2.5 percent on-month and 4.5 percent on-year.

The Ministry of Agriculture said the slight increase follows a drop for four consecutive months that started last October.

The climb of egg prices is attributed to increasing feedstuff cost, impact of snowstorms on egg supply and the hiking demand during China's spring festival holidays.
