Ukraine's grain export shows decrease

 
 

Ukraine's grain export fell to 209,000 tonnes in the first five days of April from 374,000 tonnes in the same period in March, analyst UkrAgroConsult said on Thursday (Apr 8).

 

The consultancy said the shipments of barley amounted 130,000 tonnes, while export of corn totalled 68,500 tonnes. Ukraine exported just 10,000 tonnes of wheat so far this month.

 

UkrAgroConsult said additional 283,000 tonnes of grain was likely to be exported in coming weeks.

 

In March Ukraine exported 1.567 million tonnes of grain, including 561,900 tonnes of wheat, 493,500 of barley and 500,200 of corn.
