China builds large-scale chicken layer farm in Chifeng

Liaoning province-based Shenhai Animal Husbandry Company and the local government of Yuanbaoshan district, located in Hebei province's Chifeng city, had recently concluded an agreement to build a large scale chicken layer production enterprise.

According to the agreement, Shenhai and Beijing's Xinhongcheng Company will jointly invest RMB55 million in this 50:50 venture.

The integrated farm comprises a feed processing plant, a chicken breeding farm, a large-scale hatchery, three egg layers farm and one egg products processing plant. Construction will begin next month and is scheduled for completion in May 2010.
