South Korea Association Buys 105,000 MT Corn
The Korea Corn Processing Industry Association bought 105,000 metric tons of optional-origin food corn from trading house Toepfer in a tender concluded Thursday, said a Seoul-based trader who received the tender result.
Kocopia bought corn that doesn't contain genetically modified organisms in two lots, each at 52,500 tons, for arrival at the port of Incheon July 30 and Aug. 10.
March 24, Kocopia bought 52,500 tons of optional-origin corn for human consumption in two shipments from Louis Dreyfus and Concordia. The Louis Dreyfus shipment will arrive June 25. Prices for that shipment range from $187- $207/ton, cost and freight basis, depending on the origin. The Concordia shipment, priced at $195.98-$209.68/ton, C&F basis, also depending on the origin, will arrive July 5.
