Roxell is introducing a new model of the CE-approved Quad-Glow heater for the poultry sector.
The heating system possess a broad range of high-performing and fuel-saving models accommodating the most common gas combinations.
Quad-Glow uses fuel more efficiently by converting more thermal capacity of a specific gas to infrared heat which are then transferred in a larger volume to the floor.
The system can have as much as 25% fuel savings over conventional brooders or space heaters.
In addition, the litter is dryer in Quad houses due to heating over a greater floor area, thereby reducing humidity and ammonia levels as well as fostering better bird development.
The new Quad-Glow has a "Quadrangular" heat pattern that is more closely shaped to the rectangular form of a poultry house.
According to Michael Osterman, the product manager at Roxell, fuel costs are the biggest expenses for the poultry business.
"Energy costs have doubled in recent years, and that's hitting poultry producers hard", Osterman said. "In order to meet the specific requirements of the poultry farmers, Roxell developed the Quad-Glow heater, based on more than 80 years of experience in agricultural heating equipment."
