China Heilongjiang's grain imports soar in Jan-Feb
Northeast China's Heilongjiang province imported 489,000 tonnes of grain in the first two months of this year, a 62.8% on-year rise, the local customs house said Wednesday (Apr 6).
Meanwhile, the province exported 3,638 tonnes of grain, down 67% on-year.
Of the total imports, grain from the US accounted for 89%, or 435,000 tonnes, up 44.9% on-year.
Of the total exports, grain to Europe and Asia made up 85.1%, or 6,095 tonnes.
