Ukraine to remove limits on grain exports
The government of Ukraine does not intend to extend caps for grain exports, including the rule of export quotas, after July 1, 2011, announced Nikholay Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, on April 6.
The minister noted that the government has the confidence in the stability of the local market after future termination of the quota rule, because of the new planned mechanism of forward purchases.
As a reminder, in the beginning of October 2010, the Cabinet of Ministers implemented the rule of export limits for grains. On March 30, the Government extended the duration of grain export quotas until June 30, 2011.
