Thailand to market new egg coating solution
OvaGuard, a new and first cellulose-based natural egg coating solution developed by Thai professor Dr Panuwat Suppakul and his team of graduate students, is ready to be marketed on a global scale.
OvaGuard, which is developed after seven years of trial and error, is able to extend shelf life up to 120 days, is water-resistant, possesses anti-microbial properties and is able to reduce nutrition loss by 50 percent, according to Panuwat.
The solution can be applied straight after the fresh eggs are washed and dried, Panuwat added.
The new solution will be presented at the New Venture Championship Competition at the University of Oregon within this week as part of a marketing effort.
