Diamond V receives AFIA Safe Feed/Safe Food certificate
 

Diamond V, an Iowa-based feed company, has received the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Safe Feed/Safe Food Certificate (SF/SF), which recognises the company's manufacturing facility as AFIA approved.

Diamond V is happy that it has received the SF/SF Certification that is a confirmation to the company's commitment for quality, as the certification process is extensive and verifies that proper manufacturing practises and high quality standards are upheld, according to Lori Flugum, Quality Assurance Manager for Diamond V Mills.

The program began in 2004 to demonstrate and ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of a safe and wholesome feed supply for the growth and care of animals. It is intended for companies interested in validating their commitment to food safety and approved companies may use the SF/SF labelling on their products. There are currently about 70 certified companies.

Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diamond V is a privately held company that produces yeast-based animal feed products, with distributors throughout the US and in more than 30 countries.
