Ukrainian grain associations interfere in grain exports matter

The Ukrainian Grain Association and Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation petitioned Irina Akimova, First Deputy Head of the President's Administration, to interfere in grain exports matter to avert irrevocable and dire consequences for the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.

The associations need the official to help in repayment of the VAT to grain exporters and termination of any caps for grain exports. Due to current export limitations, Ukraine failed to export grains at the sum of US$4.5 billion. In addition to the debt of the government in the sphere of the VAT, non-repayment to grain exporters reach a total of almost UAH2.5 billion (US$313.5 million).

Ukrainian Grain Association and Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation are also worried about the possible monopolisation of the agrarian market in the event of acceptance of the draft law #8163.
