Vietnam's pig breeders to start US$107,000 project
The International Development Enterprises (IDE) will grant Vietnam's central province of Quang Nam US$107,000 on its pig breeding project, according to local news on Tuesday (Apr 5).
The project aims to improve the value chain of pig breeding of farmers in Thang Binh district.
It targets to help 6,000 local households to improve pig offspring quality, supply animal feed, upgrade the breeding facilities and improve veterinary for animals.
The three-year project expects to help farmers raise pigs to supply disease-free meat for local market.
IDE is a social enterprise dedicated to ending poverty in the developing world not through handouts, but by helping farm families access the tools and knowledge they need to increase their income.
