Cargill to enlarge direct-to-farm services in Canada

Cargill Limited declared that they will not be renewing the property lease on their Greenway, Ontario crop input and grain facility.

As of July 1, 2011, Cargill will improve their direct-to-farm capabilities for their valued farm customers and will no longer be utilising the existing facility.

"We are pleased to be able to bring global expertise and provide localised direct-to-farm solutions to our Greenway customers through our other surrounding locations", said Andrei Grigore, Cargill Farm Service Group Manager. "We recognise the importance this timely service offers our customers. They can now customise grain pick-up and crop input deliveries to best suit their needs".

"Huron Grain Ltd, who currently owns the property, has been a valued business partner to Cargill for the past 25 years and is now looking for new tenants to serve the Greenway community," added Grigore.

All Cargill employees at the Greenway facility have been offered positions in Cargill.
