Royal DSM has announced that Louise Gunning-Schepers will step down as member of the DSM Supervisory Board with effect from September 1 2010.
Gunning-Schepers (58, Dutch nationality) is currently Chairman of the Executive Board of the Academic Medical Centre and Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Amsterdam. She is due to retire on September 1 2010 and is expected to take up the post of president of the Health Council of the Netherlands with effect from that date.
DSM is very grateful for the invaluable contributions Gunning-Schepers made during her membership of DSM's Supervisory Board. An announcement regarding her replacement will be made in due course. The Health Council of the Netherlands is an independent scientific advisory body whose task is to advise ministers and Parliament in the field of public health and health/healthcare research.
