Canadian salmon products recalled over possible Listeria contamination
Several salmon products are being recalled in Canada over concerns they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Mississauga-based Niagara Smoked Fish Ltd. are warning the public not to consume certain brands of smoked salmon and Grav-Lox.
The products bear registration number 0609, and include Strubs Norwegian, Scottish and Danish-style smoked steelhead salmon, Niagara Smoked Fish steelhead and Atlantic salmon, and Ocean Jewel smoked Atlantic salmon products.
The affected products are in various package sizes and were distributed in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta.
