Belarusian plants to export meat to Russia
Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's federal service for veterinary and plant control, has allowed meat imports from three Belarusian meat-processing plants, the agency's press secretary Aleksey Alekseyenko said in a statement to Belapan information company.
In March, Rosselkhoznadzor experts inspected Belavezhski joint-stock company (Brest province) and the Slutsk and Stawbtsy meat-processing plants (Minsk province) during certification procedures, and have determined that their products fully met Russian veterinary standards.
The three plants were among 23 meat-processing plants and two fish-processing plants in Brest, Hrodna, Minsk and Vitsebsk regions inspected by the agency.
Alekseyenko said the inspection results for the other companies were still being analysed.
