China Gansu To Sell 180,000 MT Old Grain
The Gansu province in northwestern China plans to sell 180,000 metric tons of old grain from state reserves in an auction April 15, traders said Tuesday.
The sale will include wheat, corn and flour, but no specific amounts were available, traders said.
The auction will be held at the Gansu Grain and Oils Wholesale Market, added the traders.
Officials from the market couldn't be reached for comment.
Since the middle of March, China has held a series of grain auctions to increase the supply and cool the markets by keeping grain prices under check.
