Stork Food Systems acquires Townsend

 

 

Stork Food Systems has acquired Townsend Engineering, forming one of the world's largest provider of meat processing systems, according to a news release.

 

The acquisition of Townsend is a strategic fit for both companies, the company said in the news release. Stork Food Systems will expand its customer base in the further processing market, especially in the red meat sector.

 

Townsend Engineering will continue to operate its facilities in the US and the Netherlands.

 

Stork Food Systems develops and manufactures poultry and further-processing equipment and systems. The group focuses on systems for the processing of poultry, red meat, and is researching ready-to-heat meal components.
