Subdued demand holds China methionine prices flat
Prices of methionine remained unchanged during the week ending April 3.
Feed millers continued to withhold procurements as livestock prices stayed weak while animal inventories were flat. Nonetheless, methionine sellers were reluctant to reduce prices, which were at record-low levels.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were unchanged at RMB28.70-29.30/kg.
Cautious mood in conjunction with increased supplies will keep methionine prices weak.
