China Live Hog Weekly: Pork sales rise significantly but hog prices stay soft (week ended Mar 27, 2013)
Consumers increased pork purchases with Qingming Festival approaching. However, as hog releases rose significantly, prices lacked the momentum to move higher. Weekly pork carcass sales in major wholesale centres surged significantly by almost 9% to 9,167 tonnes.
