Estonia sees 16% rise in crop output during 2012
Estonia's agricultural production has risen by 10% on-year to US$1.14 billion in 2012, according to the preliminary figures of the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
Livestock farming increased by 5% on-year and crop production went up by 16% on-year. Grain and cereals posted the fastest growth of 37% due to high grain prices. Agricultural exports increased by 14% on-year in 2012.
According to a previous report by Statistics Estonia, agricultural products and foodstuffs accounted for 9% share of total exports in 2012, going up by 15% on-year.
