Ukraine's reports new chicken deaths in Crimea

Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry said Monday (Apr 3) that 20 chickens died Thursday in the village of Gornostaevka in the Crimea peninsula, with H5N1 bird flu suspected of being the cause of the deaths.

The Ukrainian government said on March 22 that bird flu had been completely eradicated in the country.

Blood samples have been sent for analysis to the Crimean republican veterinary laboratory.
