Výkrm Třebíč, an agro-food complex of companies under Agrofert Holding in the Czech Republic, will expand its poultry division with a new high-capacity hatchery, as part of its vertical integration strategy.

Once commissioned, the company will fully control the entire production cycle, from hatching to slaughter.

The new hatchery is being built about 60 km from Brno in ChropynÄ› in the Czech Republic, an area with a high concentration of the company's broiler farms. Its total capacity of up to 120 million day-old chicks yearly will be fulfilled in several phases. Presently, the construction of the first phase is in progress, with an annual capacity of 40 million day-old chicks.

Výkrm Třebíč has engaged hatchery supplier, Petersime, to design the layout and provide the equipment for the hatchery. In the first phase, the new hatchery will be equipped with 24 single-stage BioStreamer^™ setters for 24 trolleys, and 12 BioStreamer^™ hatchers for eight trolleys. These will all be equipped with Embryo-Response Incubation^™ technology.

Moreover, all HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning) equipment will be supplied by Petersime. The entire incubation process, with all other conditions in the process rooms, will be monitored by Petersime's new Eagle Eye^â„¢ software.

The hatchery will be using Petersime's new 60 egg setter trays as well as the special universal chick boxes for 75 chicks.
