EU approves dairy imports from Turkey
Effective April 3, 2013, Turkey will have the right to export dairy products to the EU.
This is according to the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Mehdi Eker on Monday (Apr 1).
Speaking at a meeting of the dairy exports project which is carried out by the ministry and the Packaged Milk and Milk Products Industrialists Association (ASUD), Eker said, "The EU's Directorate General for Health and Consumers has confirmed that Turkish firms comply with EU standards for selling dairy products to the EU members. The legislation about the issue will enter into force on April 3."
