Private exporters had reported to the USDA that export sales of soy to China during the 2007-08 marketing year was 226,000 tonnes, according to the USDA on Wednesday.

The 2007-08 marketing year for soy began on September 1, with the US exporters required to report to the USDA sales of 100,000 tonnes or more of any commodity made in the same day to the same destination by 3pm on the next business day, said the USDA's Foreign Agriculture Service.
