Saudi Arabia to invest in Kazakhstani cattle breeding
Saudi Arabia is planning to implement a joint project which support cattle breeding farms in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and the acquisition of high-quality meat, said Finance Director of Hashoo Group, Assad Talib Kusain Shakh.
According to Shakh, Saudi Arabia is ready to invest US$20 million in the construction of calving facilities for cattle breeding.
"Pavlodar is a good base for the business. Our main interest lies in cattle breeding, mainly in meat and milk production. We are looking into production of Halal standard meat," Shakh said.
Pavlodar officials have no doubts in the project's success.
"I think this project can be implemented successfully. There is a great interest from both parties. Our task is to facilitate development of businesses," said Yerlan Aryn, governor of the oblast.
