Clean Seas appoints Blue Harvest to market seafood
Seafood marketing company Blue Harvest has gained sole distributorship of the kingfish, ulloway and southern bluefin tuna crop by Clean Seas Tuna.
The announcement was made as the company's stocks of kingfish and mulloway reached at least 4000 tonnes worth more than US$40 million, according to Clean Seas managing director Marcus Stehr said.
Stehr said about 40 per cent of its kingfish was sold in Australia, with the rest exported..
Stehr said the company is now ready to strongly market its fish and fully realise their commercial potential with the appointment of Blue Harvest.
The Blue Harvest sales and marketing agency works with premium seafood producers in Australia and overseas.
Blue Harvest would be primarily responsible for strategic product development, pre-and post-harvest handling, freight logistics and sales and marketing of premium seafood brands from wholesalers through to consumers.
