British breeding cattle exports reach US$1.96 million
Following a 17-year absence from the international markets, UK's breeding cattle exports have reached 1 million pounds or US$1.96 million only after nine months it has reached up anew in foreign cattle shipments.
The exported breeds which include Holstein, Limousin, Charolais, Aberdeen Angus and Dexter have been sold in nine countries with Poland being the its biggest market.
Jean-Pierre Garnier, a British exporter said the jump in exports indicate a big potential market for the country's top breeding animals and will encourage breeders to improve their herds.
He said the trade will build up as a wide range of exports will showcase the British herds' top class stock.
