Hypor Genetics delivers first shipment to South Korean partner

Hypor's first shipment to South Korea has arrived.

The consignment of 197 GGPs arrived on during February and the second shipment is currently in quarantine and expected to be delivered early April.

Hypor currently is in an alliance with Korean agri-business leader Easy Bio.

Easy Bio also includes functional feed additives, animal health and environment-care products in its portfolio.

The company currently operates three feed companies and a total of eight plants. Its swine production business comprises nine farms with a sow population of 10,300. It has also expanded its area of distribution, from South Korea to Brazil, China, Japan and other South-East Asian countries.

Easy Bio's choice underlines Hypor's strength of its sire and dam lines, the company said. South Korea has a distinct requirement on pork quality and seeks high intra-muscular fat, similar to the type of pork valued in Japan, Hypor said.

Having served the Japanese market for more than 25 years, Hypor said it has the expertise and experience required in Korea's specialty market.
