Taiwan Sugar Corp buys corn, soybeans in tender
The Taiwan Sugar Corp, or TSC, has bought 23,000 tonnes of US-origin corn and 12,000 tonnes of US-origin soybeans from trading house Mitsui in a tender concluded on Friday (Mar 31), a trader in Taipei said.
While the corn will be supplied at US$144.42/tonne on a cost and freight basis, the soybeans will be supplied at US$132.84/tonne, c&f.
The entire shipment of corn and soybeans will arrive in Taiwan May 1-15 if it is shipped from the US Gulf, or May 16-30 if shipped from the Pacific North-west.
