Ukraine's January grain exports plunges 78.2%
The grain exports of Ukraine for the first month of the year dropped 78.2% or 1.30 million tonnes, compared with January 2010, to 363,300 tonnes for US$89.56 million.
Grain exports in January 2011 fell by 74.9% or 1.08 million tonnes compared with December 2010.
Earlier, in December 2010, grain exports fell by 42.6% or 1.07 million tonnes compared with December 2009, to 1.45 million tonnes for US$363.68 million.
In 2010, compared with 2009 grain exports decreased by 48.7% or 12.55 million tonnes to 13.2 million tonnes for US$2,324.75 million.
