Paraguay forecast eight-million-tonne soy crop
Paraguay's soy output is expected to increase to eight million tonnes this season due to favourable weather conditions, Tranquilo Favero, head of Favero Group, said Monday (Mar 28).
Last season, the South American country produced 7.4 million tonnes of soy. At the start of the 2010/11 season, the government forecast a soy crop of 7.4 million tonnes.
Paraguay is the world's No. 4 soy exporter.
