Kazakhstan meat supplies to Russia to expand by tenfold

 

 

Kazakhstan is planning to expand its meat supplies to Russia up to 60,000 tonnes in the next three years.

 

According to Kazakhstan's deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev, the promotion of Kazakhstan meat products in Russia will be performed as part of a joint agricultural programme which is planned to be thoroughly worked out in the near future.

 

Arman Yevniyev, deputy minister for agriculture of Kazakhstan said, ''We have facilitates business conditions for entrepreneurs from both sides. We have been eliminating administrative barriers. The Customs Union helps us become stronger and more competitive in the agricultural sphere within the three countries of the union and third countries as well.''

 

Shukeyev said that in the near future, Kazakhstan will start the construction of modern and meeting all international standards meat factories along the Russian border. They will be situated in the Kostanai and Akmola regions of Kazakhstan.
