Thailand continues to rely on wheat imports

As Thailand does not produce enough wheat to meet domestic consumption, the country has to rely on wheat imports for 2005-06.

Wheat consumption is seen to increase from 860,000 million tonnes in 2004-05 to 910,000 million tonnes in 2005-06, due to strong demand for food and animal feed.
