Supplies of raw ingredients tightened considerably of late, hence limiting the output of vitamin C. Prices jumped a whopping 40% as a result as demand increased while aqua feed producers stepped up production.

Vitamin C prices are likely to surge further with supplies inadequate and demand from the aquaculture sector strengthening.
