China methionine buyers limit purchases in anticipation of slow consumption
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending March 27.
The demand for methionine showed little improvement as China’s livestock markets remained weak.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine reduced to RMB28.70-29.30/kg.
Methionine prices will likely consolidate around current levels. Although demand is expected to be slack, there is little scope for the current record-low prices to fall further.
