Pakistani division to procure 423,000 tonnes of wheat

According to the Commissioner Qazi Muhammad Ashfaq, as much as 423,000 tonnes of wheat will be procured in the Sahiwal division.

He said that 92,000 tonnes of wheat would be procured in district Pakpattan, 171,000 tonnes in district Sahiwal and 160,000 tonnes in district Okara.

He said that the Food department would purchase wheat in five tehsils of the division while PASSCO will procure in two tehsils Okara and Pakpattan.

He said wheat procurement campaign would begin from April 17 while distribution of gunny bags (Bardana) among farmers will start from April 15.
