Minerva unveils new distribution centre in Brazil's Minas Gerais
Minerva has launched on Friday (Mar 25) a new distribution centre in Contagem, Minas Gerais state, in the Greater Belo Horizonte.
The company is one of Brazil's market leaders in the production and sale of fresh beef, live cattle and byproducts, with operations also in the beef, pork and poultry processing sectors.
Minerva has set to increase product distribution, especially in the areas that present rising demand for beef and beef byproducts, mainly targeting the small and medium retailers, with the opening of this new centre based on the One-Stop-Shop concept among Brazil's large centres.
This distribution centre aims to reach 231 municipalities in the region which is expected to result in an increase of 50% in Minerva's presence in the Minas Gerais state.
Commercial and Supply Director Luis Ricardo Alves Luz stated, "Minas Gerais is an important market for Minerva, that is why the continued investment in the state."
