China fishmeal imports up 4.8 percent in February
China imported 72,994 tonnes of fishmeal in February, up 4.8 percent from January, and a 0.4 percent rise over the same period last year.
February's imports came mostly from:a
Peru: 64,373 tonnes;
Chile: 3,206 tonnes;
Argentina: 1,417 tonnes.
From January to February 2006, China's fishmeal imports totalled 142,677 tonnes.
