South Africa's corn crop forecast cut to 11.75 million tonnes
The forecast of South Africa's corn output for 2013 was cut to 11.75 million tonnes from 12.35 million tonnes in a previous forecast.
The corn crop will consist of an estimated 6.31 million tonnes of white corn and 5.45 million tonnes of yellow, the government's Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) said.
The harvest estimate was higher than market expectations of 11.5 million tonnes, according to a Reuters poll.
