China to see shortage in pork, beef and soy in some areas for H1 2008
Parts of China may experience a shortage of food products such as pork, beef and soy in the first half of 2008, according to the country's Ministry of Commerce.
The foodstuffs were among 8 types of food that the Ministry said may face a shortage during the first half of the year, the rest being soyoil, rapeseed oil, peanut oil, fresh milk and mutton.
The ministry derived its results from a survey.
