Rosselkhoznadzor's Deputy Head Aleksey Saurin wrote to Christianne Bruschke, Head of the Veterinary Services of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, expressing his regret that the latter had not provided the former with confirmation that violations detected in November 2012 were corrected.
Neither have they provided updated lists of Dutch plants complying with veterinary and sanitary requirements and standards of the Customs Union and Russia. Absence of measures that shall be taken by the Dutch veterinary competent authorities ensuring safety of exported animal products demonstrates that the guarantees provided by these authorities are formal.
In case such upgraded lists of plants complying with the Customs Union requirements are not provided before April 12, 2013, the Rosselkhoznadzor will have to take additional restrictive measures in relation to animal products imported from the Netherlands to Russia.
