India corn April futures lower on expected good monsoons
India's April corn futures ended lower Wednesday (Mar 25) as hopes of a good monsoon offset gains from export demand, analysts said.
India's monsoon will get a boost from June due to an expected warmer summer, a top weather official said Friday (Mar 20).
Some exports are going to East Asia, said an executive with a large multi-national trader.
The April contract NMZJ9 on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange ended at Rs829.5 (US$16.4) per 100 kg, down 0.06 percent.
