China's March soy import seen at 3.83 million tonnes
China is expected to import 3.83 million tonnes of soy in March, according to an initial estimate report by the Ministry of Commerce.
The estimate was based on importers' reports during March 1-15 and the regular forecast is usually lower than actual levels as it doesn't include all cargoes.
The ministry expects soy imports in April to be 2.48 million tonnes.
China imported 3.26 million tonnes of soy in February, up 61 percent on year.
The ministry issues the estimates twice a month.
