China fishmeal imports up in February
China imported 50,699 tonnes of fishmeal in February, up 4 percent from January, and a 31 percent fall from the same period last year.
Imports in February 2007 came mostly from:
Peru: 27,372 tonnes;
Chile: 11,260 tonnes;
Russia: 2,649 tonnes
For the period from January to February 2007, China's fishmeal imports totalled 99,297 tonnes.
