Russia's biggest pork producers boost market share

The ratings of the largest Russian agricultural holdings producing pork was recently published by the National Union of Pig Producer of Russia.

The market leader is still Miratorg, which in 2012 was able to increase the gap between Agro-Belogorye and Cherkizovo.

Despite the crisis in domestic pig farming, the majority of agricultural holdings were able to increase the production of pork and increase their total market share. A total of 20 of the largest pork producers in the past year have produced 1.1 million tonnes of pork, which is almost 15% more than in 2011.
