US beef gets partial clearance for import into Taiwan

Taiwan is expected to lift its ban partially on US beef imports on April 16. Only boneless meat from cattle under 30 months old would be allowed

Taiwan is the six-largest market by value for US beef.

Taiwanese officials said all companies must have their beef shipments verified by USDA, and beef exports must not include bones, offal or specified risk material (SRM), which include spine or brain.
