Ukraine grain inventories decrease

As of March 1, 2011, Ukraine's agricultural and grain storage and processing enterprises stored 12.4 million tonnes of grains, a decrease of 3% in contrast to March 1, 2010, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

Direct agrarian companies stocked 5.5 million tonnes of grains (a decrease of 13%), including 2.2 million tonnes of wheat and 1.8 million tonnes of corn.

Enterprises dealing with grain storage and processing, retained 6.9 million tonnes of grains (an increase of 5%), including direct stocking enterprises, with 5.2 million tonnes of grains (an increase of 17%).
