Corn prices mostly stable in China; prices edge higher at the Yellow/Huai River production regions (Mar 24, 2005)

Corn prices in China were mostly stable early this week, with prices edging higher in the Yellow / Huai River production regions.

 

At the southern consumption regions, prices of corn were also up marginally in recent days due to the persistent tightness in supply. Corn prices in the north-eastern production regions were generally stable with procurement activities significantly picking up lately.

 

With large shipments of corn expected to arrive at the end of the month, prices at southern Chinese ports fell slightly in recent days.
